OH look, a massive DIPA from Stone – how novel.

This one has an Australian theme with 100% Australian Hops, and Australian Malt, and a name that belongs to a band that is only partly Australian. Mmmm … I wonder how Australians feel about AC/DC representing them in this manner.

Anyway, back to the beer.

Light to mid-orange with some white head and lace.

It’s incredibly fruity but also contrastingly resinous. Quite the odd combo of hop dankness and fruity DIPA strength.The bitterness bites quite hard here, and there’s a wolf in sheep clothing about this beer. It feels every inch the 8.7% bruiser that it is, and goes back to some older Stone roots for my money. There’s some Arrogant notes here, and a touch of American Barleywine aggression in a sweet little package. The name points more toward the contents than the appearance might.
