Hop Delusion Imperial IPA

22 oz bottle, thanks go out to @lnashsig.

Into the Sierra Nevada Spiegelau glass it goes.

Nice carnation release and some serious copper color. Clear at first but seems to induce to chill haze after a minute or two. Head is high and quite retained considering ABV.

Surprisingly, tre nose offers more alcohol than hops.

Things quickly come back into check, with some nice resinous, dank hops. Hoppy burps result – a classic sign – but the mouthfeel isles viscous than most. Not exactly ‘light’ but certainly doesn’t give a cloying factor.

Solvent alcohol enters in the finish.

Pretty drinkable in the grand scheme of things, and a solid example of the style. Karbach does a whole bunch of better beers IMO, but nevertheless I did not dislike this one.
