11.2 oz bottle.
Lightly clouded, gold-orange pour. Small, well-formed head with some lace and a white collar with some surface foam.
There is a lovely, extremely subtle fruit note about the beginning of this beer that could be apricot based. It then brings a burst of very light citrus based sweetness, and finishes in the back-end with just a kiss of hop bitterness. Everything about this beer, including the mouthfeel is soft and gentle. It feels well-crafted and subtle.
As the beer warms, each of those aforementioned attributes are enhanced, but only slightly and they complement one another beautifully. It’s a very complex beer wrapped inside a simple package.
By the time we get to the end of the bottle there’s the largest hop note which must have been building alongside the fruit. Even at its peak it’s still gentle enough to keep the whole combination in check and aligned.
Really nice. On top of the simple fruit, the hops bring a gentle complexity and the mouthfeel is a bonus.
