Well, if there’s one positive it does exactly what is says on the can (bottle).
Superb clarity on a golden, slightly viscous pour, and a white head that is not amazing, but given the ABV entirely acceptable in all respects.
Nose and tastes produce that tell-tale onion dank ness that is often associated with Summit but seems to come in so many other hop combos these days.
Mouthfeel has a touch of oily viscosity but not too much.
8.7% is all there, as is a bitterness, and a dank feel that accompanies the beer appropriately.
The heavy handed hops ironically take away from the crisp nature that the lager should bring, and it has me asking why bother? This ‘style’ is contrictory, and that’s why this isn’t a style.
“2014” and “Lager” written on the label just so you don’t forget I suppose?
