As I prepare to head home for the first time since 2007, I was reminded of the three week beer odyssey that my last trip was in the summer of 2007. Amongst many great moments, pub visits and time spent with friends, I made a careful list of all of the beers that I sampled & made notes on during the visit.

Looking back at my notes there were many stand outs for me, but Old Moggie, St. Peter’s Grapefruit, and the Cotleigh beers were amongst the very best. This time I am planning on only being in the UK for about one-third of the time, so it may be difficult to top this list but this will be solo visit, so maybe I can!

You liked this beer? Man goes to show ya tastes are subjective.

I really like St Peter’s beer but not that one so much. Of course it was in 2005.
I date my notebook, when, where, how and who, and a brief review if I feel it is a noteworthy beer. There were 2 weeks in 2005, 10 days in 2007 when I tasted many beers; you can do that with the good beer guide, I find. My bibles are the England (UK), Belgium and Germany, with Lambic land thrown in for good measure.
Nice list, liked most of those….
Positively stunning!
