375 mL corked & caged bottle. Jet black pour with some nice looking, lively, pitted mocha head. The head is a touch thin, and not very well retained. Lace also minimal. Fizzy carbonation rather than anything deeper. Nose has a roasty note....

Van Steenberge make some ferociously strong and aggressive beers, and at first glance you would expect this to be another in their well-established stable of beer. My guesses for GD Imperial Stout before tasting it would be an alcohol soaked,...

My second bottle of this. I was a little disappointed when I saw that this special edition was a stout, since Belgian stouts aren't really a big draw for me, and Unibroue is just so great with BDSAs and BSPAs. Having said that, I soon got over it....
