Beer Review(s): The Celt Experience Beers; Bronze, Dark-Age and Golden
Usually I don't like to review beers in batches, but on this occasion it seemed a little more appropriate for more than one reason. My friend from North Carolina/Yorkshire, Stuart Arnold (of Fortnight Brewing, check 'em out), provided me with this opportunity to hit three organic beers from Caerphilly in Wales. Apparently the Celt Experience Brewery has been operating for a few years and produces organic beer. It's always a huge thrill for me to get a chance to drink relatively low ABV beer,...
The search is over, and at the same time just beginning
Yesterday was a pretty significant day in my little beer world. Was it a day that was characterized by me finding a long sought after bottle? No. Was it a day that I tasted and reviewed a super-rare beer? No. Was it a day when I reached some memorable milestone of some description? No. So what? In a nutshell,...
The ‘Grand Pooh-Bah’ is dead! Long live the ‘Ding’!
I wanted to draw a line under my beeradvocate.com experience once and for all, but couldn't realistically do that to my own satisfaction until I had collected all of the reviews that I had contributed to the site over the years. As best I can tell, at the time of my ban, I had approx. 2600+ beer reviews in the BA database, plus 305 place reviews. That added up to Beer Karma Points totaling 8117.08 and with them, 'Grand Pooh-Bah' status on the site - not a small contribution over nearly 7.5...
