16 oz can, actually purchased as a single inside of Yellowstone. As such, I assumed this was a novelty product, and I had very low expectations. As it is, it’s a lot better than those low expectations, and is really quite good.
Slightly hazed, golden pour with nice, white rocky head with some decent retention. Lace is nice. The haze I can do without, but outside of that, it’s OK
Nose and tastes offer a really delicious, light hoppy touch. It definitely has an American feel – a floral, largish, pointed attack – but it’s decidedly, surprisingly, and actually, delightfully ‘light’.
Quenches nicely and is full and round. Somewhat fruity in nature, it reminds me a little of a Sweetwater IPA even though this carries the Pale Ale moniker.
Easy drinking and smooth, the beer feels a bit smaller than 5.7% (good), but really has significant presence. A nice surprise.
