Yellow Snow (IPA)

Difficult to believe that I have never reviewed this beer – strange, but with the multitude of Rogue aliases that can sometimes be the case. At the same time that’s what might make me think that I’ve had it before.

Anyway, these notes are from a few 20 oz ours at Taco Mac in Douglasville, GA, USA.

To be honest not that attractive a pour almost Hefe like, mid-orange body. Lots of stinging but quick bitterness. It does accumulate, but on very specific parts of the the tongue. Lacing is really good. Head less so in terms of retention, but there is a light froth that lingers.

Nose has a pretty healthy dose of sinus clearing, citrus hops.

Grapefruit is the watchword in terms of tastes. No doubt about what you are getting here and for me, that’s a large part of the appeal.

Liked it more than I thought I would.
