Michael’s, Marietta, GA, USA. Stubby, 11.2oz bottle, I think I paid either $3.99 or $4.99.
Poured fairly vivid orange color with some unpleasant looking floating sludge. Even with the sediment in the glass there was still a LOT of yeast in the bottle that simply wouldn’t come out. I don’t think this bottle is the freshest sample, but without any dates on the bottle it’s difficult to make an assessment.
No head and no lace apart from a little film on the top of the beer. Thinnish in all respects. Not much in the way of body or flavor. There is a little bit of a sweet and sour thing going on, but I don’t really distinguish it as mustard. Mildly acidic finish.
To me this is just a bit BLAH. A rather thin, Belgian Pale, and I wouldn’t describe it as “strong” in ANY respect. Glad I tried it, but in the bottle I don’t think I would bother again, however if I saw it fresher and on draft I think I may be tempted to give it another chance.
