Amber body with a one finger head. Light chill haze.
Quite dry and hoppy nose that is brought forward to the tastes.
Bitterness extends to the aftertaste and finish. Quite interesting how this dry, hoppy bitterness combines with a toffee based, malty underbody.
Ultimately a paradoxical beer with greenish dry hops standing against a beer more reminiscent of a much maltier style. A hybrid from different ends of the beer tastes spectrum – a malt based IPA – WTF … ?
Alcohol is advertised at 6.0 and that feels about equivalent to the taste.
In the end this is a bit too dry and bitter for my liking but at the same time as a one off it was interesting. Don’t think that I’m going there again though.
