Yep, excited.
Unibroue, large dark Belgian? Count me in.
Dark Ale on Lees (as per Unibroue) presentation, a light spiced nose and some fruit in the nose. Jerry Viets Unibroue brewmaster brings his style to the masses.
The usual Unibroue presentation, purchased on the same day as half a dozen Trader Joe’s Vintage 2015. A good day.
Pour offers no surprises Deep, great head. Sticky lace, dark body, great raisiny nose.
All the attributes, but perhaps with more EtOH than similar Unibroue offerings.
Less fruit and a bit edgier than Trois Pistoles for me, but maybe because it is young. Might get six of these and lay ‘em down. Some carbonation and some lingering alcohol. Careful!
As it warms it mellows but this is strong! Less fruit and more alcohol. Needs to mellow a little before this becomes a Unibroue classic – but it will!
$10.99, Greens, Buford Highway, Atlanta.
