Theophan the Recluse
2.46 out of 5.00 | Under Par

750 mL bottle.

Jet black, with a solid tan head. Decent looker.

Brewed with 8 malts and Muscovado sugar. The beer is very dry, and ironically considering the addition of the sugar, lacks any sweetness. I don’t need a sweet RIS per se, but there should definitely be more presence than there is here. Mouthfeel is average, but I can’t get past the lack of richness of taste.

Simple cereal tastes when cold. Far too dry for me.
