Tangerine Dreamsicle

22 oz bottle

As much as I hate the idea of this kind of thing, I think that the citrus notes of tangerine and orange are likely to fit well with a big, west coast IPA that is the hallmark of Green Flash. Let’s just say that it has the potential to be ‘not horrible’.

An almost illegible dot-matrix of 11.9.14, presumably a best before date.

Good clarity on the pour that is golden rather than orange. Head is modest and quite small especially considering the relatively modest for this type of beer, 6.5%.

Nose has requisite citrus hop notes that are fairly reserved considering the style of beer we are dealing with.

Fruity as expected, with a nice dose of aspirin bitterness at the extremities.

Tasty and a decent beer because the citrus element does not clash with the intending style. For once, a somewhat sensible concoction and marriage of tastes and brewers. In almost exact contrast to the dumb combo of Side Project 22. Miracles do happen!

6.5%, ‘Tangerine Cream IPA’ (milkshake IPA before milkshake IPAs were a thing?), brewed and bottled by Terrapin‚ so what is GF influence? West Coast ‘expertise’?
