Latest Dank Tank.
On opening, there is an immediate whiff of hops.
In a nutshell this is NOT a BSPA. It has way too much soapy bitterness for that moniker.
Appearance is deep golden but lacks any head or retention. Viscosity is not quite there for me.
There is a hint o pineapple underneath the soap, but it’s too little, too late for me. I want some more white pepper and a beer that somehow illustrates the style – this doesn’t.
The soapy hop bitterness is an entirely appropriate taste in SOME style, but NOT this one! It almost adds a certain diacetyl character too. Odd, and NOT welcome.

The soapy bitterness builds as well, and gets much worse at the end of the 22 oz. This doesn’T HAVE to be a Duvel clone, but it better resemble it – it really doesn’t.
Second bottle – soapy bitterness still there and it’s just wrong for a beer that claims to be a BSPA. In the end, The Beer is Wrong.
