Growler from Growlers in Hilton Head, SC, USA.
Aroma is very fragrant and floral as soonas the growler is popped.
A slightly hazed, tremendous golden color with an nice head initially. Bone white with a little lace.
The aroma is slightly rye based, but it does not overpower. There’s a little pepper in there, but that elements comes through even stronger in the taste.
Upfront there’s a decent dose of bitterness and some peppery rye. This gives way tp some lightly buttery diacetyl notes, although not to the point where starts to annoy. The beer is clean and sweeter than I was expecting. It develops a little as it warms.
This is not a strong rye beer, but it is stronger than something like Sweetwater’s LowRyder, so I would say that it sits in mid-range for bitterness.
