Hard to believe that I have never reviewed this from the bottle, so here goes.
I end up drinking quite a lot of this beer, but it’s really only by default. In the majority of bars that one finds oneself in much of the USA, this is often the only palatable option amongst the nasty BMC swill. As a result I feel it has a somewhat better reputation than it deserves in the grand scheme – some people rave on about it like it is some stellar product. I think it is better than average, but that’s about it.
Light yellow body, almost macro looking in terms of the color, and a light and wispy head. Some lacing, but not a great deal. Overall this is a pretty thin beer with a slightly bitter hop presence that is mildly unbalanced. Soapy bitterness is a bit too much and an astringent and tangy aftertaste is left. Better on draft by some distance in my estimation.
