Saison tremist

750 mL, corked and caged, a recent purchase from Belgian-Style Ales. A new beer to me. Looks like it has had some distribution in the US for about 3 or 4 years at least.

Excellent pop on opening, good head, decent film retention, and some nice lace. Lemon colored, clouded body, all is in order.

Yeasty acidity in the nose, and off the top in the tastes. Smooths out evenly with a little citrus funkiness. Mild funk, but all in order. Pretty dry from start to finish. A touch of candied fruits (maybe pineapple) and a few hop notes that balance that increased acid and sweetness nicely. Silky smooth in the mouth. Easy drinking, stylistically correct, and moreish. Ends simply with a bitter kiss.

Pretty darn good. Generally I like a touch more funk around and in my saisons, but it’s hard to be too critical here. Does what it says on the can, and style parameters are nicely met. No complaints, solid saison, maybe even a bit better than that.
