Another Stone collaboration.
Best before 10/10/13 – I’m two months late.
Pour is an attractive, hazy, light golden color with some excellent bone-white head and a little lace.
Smell is light onion with plenty of West Coast DIPA notes. Not much else.
Tastes reflect that, and I get zero coconut. According to all sources this is NOT a function of the age of this beer, I have been reliably informed that there was essentially next to no coconut element here in the first place.
I detect no decline in this beer, at least none that makes much difference to it being an entirely competent West Coast DIPA.
As such this turns into a simple, Stone friendly, DIPA. As the beer warms the onion nose increases a lot, and the onion taste increases a little.
