Rick and Robbie’s Spröcket Bier

Black Rye Kolsch? Morons. Rick & Robbie need stringing up.

Essentially it’s an over-hopped Schwarzbier in terms of how it drinks.

Black body with plenty of brown highlights.

Nose is a malty one, that of a Schwarzbier and the head is hight, quite thick and well retained. Lace minimal when considering the head.

Thankfully the rye does not manifest itself incredibly strongly and the beer remains light and easy to drink – until the over-hopping (for a Schwarzbier) starts to accumulate and give a nasty bitterness.

WTF people are thinking christening beers in this manner I have no idea, and frankly it’s the work of clowns. The beer itself is not horrible, but it does represent a mess with no direction and no grounding.

Another dumbass beer from a brewery that should know better.
