16.9 oz bottle.
Very light copper, perhaps more golden orange hue. Head initially high and bright, but lace and retention are both poor. Carbonation pretty consistent.
Nose offfers some light fruit (surprising) and not much else.
Clean body offers a lightly fruity, mildly tart clean edge. Cider-like in every respect, with some green apples poking through. This is not a simple beer. It has a surprisingly dry finish that I wasn’t expecting from that initial fruit. There’s also a bit of a Biere de Garde feel about the beer, with some earthy elements (maybe the coriander) coming through. the earthy nature builds for me.
I mean it’s a classic Gose I suppose, but not a style that I really either know much about or have much experience with. For my money probably best drunk it Leipzig in authentic surroundings.
