Lindemans
Strawberry

Astonished to see that I haven’t got any formal notes on this beer before noe – so here we go.

Usual Lindemans fruit presentation, the usual outcome.

Pinkish colored body sits underneath the bubbly/fizzy head. The color reminds me of canned strawberries, that have been open for a while and take on some kind slightly pale, whiteish hue.

Nose offers some really large, artificial (to my nose) fruit esters. Strawberry? Yes, I think so, but it doesn’t seem all that natural.

Sweet like all of the Lindemans fruits, and this still offers a somewhat tart finish. It’s almost sherbet-like in the final analysis. Definitely the most sherbet-like of all of the fruit Lindemans for me. Strawberry is definitely discernible for me, which is a credit in my book because there are plenty of fruit bees that I come across where the fruit element is there, but doesn’t really manifest itself as a specific fruit.

In the end you get what you get with all of the Lindemans fruit range. I like them – once a year – and that’s about it. They are all part of a spectrum of fruit lambics, and if you dislike things like them then there’s really nowhere to go. Take them for what they are, and don’t compare to others. It is what it is.
