2012 Vintage. Age may be an issue here. For a fairer review, look for a fresher bottle.
8.9%, Brut/Champagne bier. Gold foil on the capped bottle.
Cloudy washed out dull lemon our with a few peachy tones.
Head dies smartly. Thin film on standing.
Nose offers a carbonated, miscellaneous, nondescript fruit.
Mouthfeel not as lively as the style demands. Apple like elements, with a few touches of unwanted oxidation. A bit dull, a little oxidized and a bit pedestrian.
A few cider like esters, this feels old and jaded which is never a good thing for a beer of this style.
Frankly a little watery and not much depth. Oxidation builds a little.
Meh – even at the reduced price of $8.98 it was a stretch.
