Classic look, with jet black body perfectly formed, with a pitted, mid-dense, light beige head. Lace is excellent, retention decent.

Nose gives a lightly toasted bread.

Substantial mouthfeel, likely a function of the oats. Light toast, and mellow malts permeate the beer. No bitterness until the far back-end where there is (perhaps) a diluted, light coffee element.

As the beer warms there is an increasing sweetness. Also the body seems even creamier.

Classic light acidity and some more bread.

Lovely beer, simplicity and authentic. Hard to fault.
