Described as a ‘Golden Ale’ on the bottle, I am wary of such a bland and non-descript title. I suppose it’s a Belgian inspired beer? We’ll see.
22 oz bootle with a high head initially. Complete clarity. Yeasty tastes – good. Sweet up front, drier in the back. Tropical fruits are there but muted. Ordinary (as in unspectacular) but that’s its strength. I learned later that this was inspired by Duvel, and not to overstate anything, but I can a t least see the thinking if not the need to draw any serious comparisons. Decent.
I later bought a bottle on $2.99 clearance and there was some cloudiness and a little oxidation/cardboard elements.
