It’s seldom these days that a beer genuinely gets me excited, but this one such beer.
A beautiful pour.
Sweet, sweet, champagne-like tastes and carbonation, truly delicious.
Gentle Brett is punctuated by a very sweet, underlying beer that is absolutely delicious. The ripe, slightly tart fruits burst onto the tongue, and the invigorating carbonation adds to, and cements, the experience. Seldom found in beer these days.
It’s a vinous experience, and a truly great one. This is a beer that is really, really, really special IMO. Truly scrumptious with apple, cider and even more champagne overtones wrapped up in the whole package. Spectacular.
I’m delighted that the aging in oak really doesn’t come through in beer that is probably best described as an American Wild Ale.
$12.99, corked and caged 375 mL bottle. bottled July 1st 2015.
