Is this the old 100 Barrel Series beer re-born? Has to be a good chance they are related.
There’s a LOT of alcohol here, 9.3% in fact.
Nice clarity on the pour with a good, rocky white head considering the ABV. Some sticky lace too. Aroma is a dull, coriander/orange but not too strong.
Sweet alcohol with a slightly viscous touch. Not exactly surprising, given all the components. Double IPA elements, but less hop character than a typical beer in that style.
Some bright orange spice notes, but sugar comes again and again. Bitterness never really kicks in even in the back end or the aftertaste.
Malty is the key here, and the alcohol is not really anywhere as boozy as I thought it might be. “Imperial, White IPA”? Although I object to the use of the style, I suppose it hits those points.
