Floral IPA Best of Beer Camp #53

My least favorite of the Beer Camp 12 pack.

Pour is a murky orange color with a surprisingly large amount of sediment floating around.

Lace and head are below average.

Nose and tastes offer a distinct floral element which I suppose is good! However, the whole thing seems to lack the malt backbone to hold up the modest hop profile. This is definitely not a hop bomb, but there is a decent amount of bitterness there, unfortunately the beer seems quite thin and it lacks any depth.

The mouthfeel also seems a little prickly with a carbonation higher than one would expect. This also introduces a hydrogen carbonate, slight chalkiness around the edges which is not at all welcome. The finish lingers a bit but in a tired way.

A wishy-washy beer for me, and largely disappointing. I’m surprised at how poor this beer is compared to the others in the box.
