Fantôme Blonde de Mars

The usual Fantome presentation. Is this a new/alternative name for the Spring/Printemps? lot ba 02 26 best before 2029.

A worrying lack of pop on opening, and by any standards this is under-carbnated.

Color is fine, mid-golden body, but the head and retention are poor and reflective of the lack of carbonation. It should be noted that this pour differs a lot to the hazed, clouded pour that I have from another bottle which I assume had some significantly disturbed sediment. Beer becomes almost still on standing, but there is a tiny bit of life in the mouthfeel.

Light funk on the nose, with a kiss of acidity. Tastes follow suit. Dry cider like, light acid. Mouthfeel is a little soft for me.

Second pour with the sediment is pure soup, but oddly offers a similar taste profile if not the same look.

Honestly, this is the weakest Fantôme that I’ve had in a long, long time. Just not my thing at all, and not representative. Pass, and that’s something that I rarely say about Dany.
