12 oz can.
This has been on shelves for around $20 a for pack, and I’m not remotely interested at that price, but a single can, even at $3.25 pulls me in – I blame you, Norm!
Quite what an ‘Irish Porter’ is I don’t know, but I’ll ignore that for now. Pretty beer. Jet black, nice lace and a mid-level tan head that becomes a thin film.
Nose is nice too, that has a somewhat subtle coconut element. The tastes are similar with light subtlety the order of the day. Nice bitter sweet chocolate holds the coconut in place.
I wasn’t expecting to like this much, but it was much better than I thought. Smooth, satisfying and a touch of alcohol round things out. Nice. Actually the alcohol builds a touch and I like it. Tasty.
A touch of bitter sweet on the back end as well.
