$1.89 for the can from Houghton, MI.
Clear golden pour with an initially great head, but retention and lace are not great.
Sweet bready notes are up front on both the aroma and the taste. Hop balance kicks in mid palate and the back end to give the balance.
A style that is always welcome in my beer world, and this is a classic example. It doesn’t travel tremendously well in cans, and I know this is a dramatically different beer closer to the source and having been out of the tanks for a shorter time than this has been.
Having said that, the beer is still really drinkable and tastes very nice, but it’s hard to get too enthusiastic when one knows what this can be under different circumstances.
