This is REALLY, REALLY, REALLY good, if somewhat confusing/confused.

Pale washed out lemon color as per the style (IF this were/is a Berliner Weisse) which I feel is in some debate.

Well carbonated.

Nose and tastes have only light smoke (which is fine), but the tartness associated with a BW is simply missing. This is a lively beer which dances quite nicely on the palate, but in no way is it because it contains a significant sour element or is especially tart in any way. This is ironic since it generates the Pucker Up badge on untapped.

I would definitely agree with the label when it says that BdH does not fit into any category, but at the same time it hardly hits any of the Berliner/Rauch/Saison hard either.

Light hambones and significant yeastiness finish the beer, and it really is a fantastically delicious experience, even if it is a little mad.

Very drinkable and incredibly tasty – chock full of flavor.
