Mid-brown, relatively drab colored body, but a lovely fluffy, well-retained head with good lace.

Nose and initial tastes definitely give up some level of blueberry/bilberry element although not especially pungent or powerful. Generic fruit present. As the beer warms the fruits begin to offer a weird, soapy character. Quite odd. in the end, the fruit doesn’t really blend and meld into the base beer particularly well. It feels a little disjointed, and not very smooth, this weird juxtaposition continues.

As it warms the fruit gets … fruitier, but the beer just cannot shake that soapy taste. It’s odd and it never leaves. This just doesn’t work very well for me, and it never manifests as a fruit beer, or not a fruit beer. Caulier make several better beers than this one.
