375 mL corked and caged bottle. Smyrna World of Beverage, Smyrna, GA.

Bottled Nov 5, 2015.

Hazy, lemon honey colored pour. Carbonation is just about perfect leading to a pillow like mouthfeel.

Gentlest of funk against a slight woody background. Finishes with plenty of green apples but ones that are not too tart.

Barrel is muted (good), but still offers touches of oak here and there.

A touch of sweetness too, but it’s really nothing. That lovely, classic white pepper comes through beautifully, and the beer dances with some prickly (appropriate) carbonation.

A lot of ripe tropical fruit dances on the tongue and the beer is dangerously drinkable and incredibly moreish. It never overpowers anywhere, and provides a subtle, very juvenile splash of Brett.

Delicious, and along with Golden Brett, my favorite, recent Allagash beer.

Expensive if I’m honest, but tastes good enough so that I’m not sulking afterwards – JUST!
